The Women's Ministries Commission serves as an umbrella for all women in the Diocese of Northern California, ordained and laity, individuals and all groups, guilds, and organizations.
About us:
In June of 2002, a proposal was made saying “. . . that the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Northern California reorganize as a part of a specialized ministries program group.”
The reorganization was begun and the Women’s Ministries Commission was formed under the dedicated leadership of Dorothy Park. Then in January 2006, Bishop Jerry Lamb appointed Gaye McWade as president of the new board for the Commission of Women’s Ministries.
The Commission's board reflects many kinds of ministries and talented women of our Diocese and, we welcome your interest, suggestions, and ideas.
